This week I'm spending in the studio in Italy with Giuseppe working on new Pure NRG for our upcoming show in Prague, so have taken the liberty of pre-recording the show a little early! Some top tunes in this week's episode, including grwat new mixes of a couple of my favourite tracks from back in the day - 'Diamondback' by Mekka and also a healthy re-rub of Talla's own 'Terra Australis' by the man himself together with Jorn van Deynhoven! Cream of the crop though is the stunning Orion & J. Shore remix of 'Fiftenn' - such a beautiful track in the first place but the guys have taken it to a new level of sophistication. I'm off to Singapore this weekend then Miami next week, hope to you some of you at one of those shows. Rich Ss.

Flying (RichSolarstone Pure Mix) - Silver Mine Music
Silvermine are South African producer Chris Querido and California-based vocalist, Betsie Larkin. While we’re all familiar with Betsie’s solo EDM outings, Silvermine is an altogether different project that fuses Querido’s multi-instrumental abilities, intricate production skills & love of New Wave with Betsie’s evocative lyrics and indie-rock spirit. Their collaboration across the web - a veritable bridge of souls from the United States to Cape Town – resulted in ‘Flying’. Solarstone’s ‘Pure Mix’ was one of the highlights of the critically acclaimed ‘Pure Trance Vol. III’ compilation & was recorded after Richard fell in love with this previously unreleased song after hearing it courtesy of Betsie. Handling the original stems with care, Solarstone built upon the foundation of Querido’s beautiful musical elements with his signature ‘Pure Trance’ sound, resulting in a lush backdrop for Larkin’s plaintive love song. Now, the full-length version of Solarstone’s remix is now available for the first time.

Leading the charge is one of 2015’s tips-for-the-top Liam Wilson with a slamming #140 remix, a brilliant re-imagining of the original with mesmeric techy twists & turns perfectly programmed for those strobe-pulsed club moments. Solarstone’s fine-tuned EA3 Reconstruction - a 128bpm deep progressive trance journey - strips down the original mix to its core components for maximum impact. Next up is the original mix from Basil O’Glue wherefrom all this magic is gleaned. A ‘Slow’ version exists for afterhours chill sessions and finally a handy Radio Edit is included.
