“Only In A Dream” provides PvD fans old & new with another enticing hint as to what lies ahead for his new album The Politics Of Dancing 3, set for release in early 2015. Having caught his ear in a remarkably short space of time, the co-production chair for “Dream” is shared with bright-young-studio-things Jessus & Adham Ashraf. In keeping with their quickly propagating sounds, the Columbian/ Egyptian pairing channel trancier frequencies into the track.
Equipping “Only In A Dream” with its inviting vocal is English singer/songwriter Tricia McTeague. Versions of the song included in the remix package out November 27 cover all the bases with the original mix ready to chuck the ear of radio, while its club mix compatriot zeroes straight to the heart of the dancefloor. Remix-wise, VANDIT Records master sergeant Chris Bekker drops a booming near-instrumental vision, with lucent melodies, 303 sonics and canyon-like depth to its production. Owen Westlake, Hugo Massien and Ashton drop “Only In A Dream” further into the deep house frame with their versions.

Daniel Goldstein aka Lane 8 has marked himself out this year as one of dance music’s most exciting names. After topping the Hype Machine chart last year with “Be Mine”, he has since been named a 'Future Star' by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, while his recent single “I Got What You Need" featuring Bipolar Sunshine was supported by Zane Lowe (Future Exclusive), Annie Mac, Mistajam and more.
The first of two Anjunadeep 06 contributions, “Diamonds” features vocals from hotly tipped UK artist Solomon Grey. Typically mellow percussion makes way for a rich arrangement of dark, melancholic melodies and a super deep bassline, whilst the epic vocals swirl throughout. Tinged with sadness yet also optimistic, this is another example of Daniel’s knack of creating not only top notch dancefloor grooves, but also powerful songs.
“Without You” follows suit, built around a simple, ultra-catchy melodic riff and retro-tinged vocal sample. Not many artists develop a trademark sound so quickly, but Lane 8’s self-proclaimed “dreamy back rub house” is in full effect here.

In a twist in direction, the original mix goes down a more Dubstep route, while Disfunktion, newcomer Art Deko give us quality progressive house takes and after massive support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz and Cosmic Gate, Shadow of Two turn in a driving trance remix.
