Same K - For You (Above & Beyond Edit)

The latest in a run of fresh names to appear on an Anjunabeats sleeve, Dmitry Semakin aka. Same K joins the label family. Having instantly caught the ear of label heads Jono, Paavo and Tony with its infectious melody, the trio have amped up the production for a suitably stadium sized record; "For You", the Above & Beyond Edit.

Following in the footsteps of another Russian to rise through the Anjunabeats ranks in recent years, Same K's sound has echoes of Arty's more progressive works; bubbling melodies and warm chord harmonies creating a sizzling peak-time atmosphere. With the added clout of Above & Beyond's punchy bottom end and elegant piano top line, "For You" is a bold opening statement from this young act.

ODESZA - Bloom (Lane 8 Remix)

Seattle based ODESZA have set the dance scene alight over the past 12 months, with their second album “In Return”. The LP received widespread critical acclaim and global support, racking up no fewer than 10 Hype Machine #1’s. Add to this their impressive touring schedule, including an appearance at Coachella, and it’s clear that the duo are something of a phenomenon.

One such fan of the band, Anjunadeep’s own rising star Lane 8 aka Daniel Goldstein reached out and asked to remix his favourite track off the album, “Bloom”. ODESZA and their label Ninja Tune obliged and the result is a rolling house anthem, harnessing the potent atmosphere and pop-infused hooks of the downtempo original, bringing it effortlessly to the dancefloor.

Say It Wasn't / Bear Witness Steve Huerta [OUT 02.02.15]

LA born and Berlin-based Steve Huerta makes his debut on Anjunadeep following an impressive run of releases on Waze & Odyssey’s’ Street Tracks, Dirt Crew and Amadeus.

Featured on the Anjunadeep 06 compilation, which topped the iTunes Dance Album charts, Huerta delivers an emotive and powerful A-side in “Say It Wasn’t”, built over subtle chords, shifting percussion and deep fuzzy tones. “Bear Witness” pulses into life over shifting hi-hats and weighty kicks, with the slow burning percussive groove partnered with hypnotic oscillating synths and delicate chords.

On remix duty is Hotflush Recordings star Locked Groove, who seamlessly blurs the lines between house and techno for his epic club-ready take on “Say it Wasn’t”, supported by Annie Mac, Maya Jane Coles and Laurent Garnier.
